Quilt Exhibit

Wednesday, September 16 through Friday, October 30, 2015

A group of vintage quilts will be on display featuring those in the museum’s collection as well as many from community members.

Pioneers treasured their quilts not only for their warmth but for the memory of family members left behind as they made their new homes in the West. The quilting bee was a social and artistic outlet for women in pioneer times with many quilts being made for a special occasion such as a wedding.
