Exterior
Called an Italianate home, it was built of local brick and incorporates Greek figurehead keystones, Corinthian columns, widow’s walk, original etched glass fanlight above the door, marble fireplaces and many other distinctive features, including the ornate brass knob at the entrance.

Typical of Italianate style are the heavy, ornate cornices, as seen here. The sculpted sandstone heads above the second story windows are part of the original stonework the family commissioned to accent the windows and corners of the house.
