The Kirkman House Museum offers year-round interpretive tours of William & Isabella Kirkman’s home, focusing on the elements that influenced home life in late 19th century Walla Walla.

Children’s Hands on History Summer Program
Providing elementary school age children with the opportunity to explore Kirkman House collections and Victorian era activities.

Salon Series
March - May, 2008
The Kirkman House Museum presents it new Salon Series, a lecture series exploring topics from the Victorian Era including spiritualism, chocolate, and domestic architecture.

May 18, 2008 – Chocolate tasting presented by Petits Noirs’ Lan Wong.
Salon Series to run 1:30 – 3 pm. Space is limited to 25 people. Please call 529-4373 to RSVP before Thursday, May 15th.

Salon Series welcomes Petits Noirs Chocolatier

Walla Walla, Wa. The Kirkman House Museum March Salon Series features chocolate and coffee and tea pairings. Petits Noirs’ Lan Wong will provide delicious chocolate truffles paired with coffee from Walla Walla Roasters. Wong uses as many fresh local ingredients in her chocolates as she can find in the Valley. During the tasting, Wong will chat about chocolate making, tasting, and ingredients.

Wong offers chocolates with a variety of spices, such as lavender, champagne, cardamom, and clove. She creates delectable treats to be paired with wine as well as coffee and teas. Wong will be taking orders for chocolates at the Salon Series.

The Chocolate Tasting Salon will begin at 1:30 pm on Sunday, May 18, 2008 and will end at 3:00 pm. Costs will be $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Space is limited to 20 people; please call for reservations, 509-529-4373. Reservations are needed before March 13th.
