Since becoming a museum in 1974, the Kirkman House Museum has been able to preserve the Victorian era with the help of a generous community who have given of their time, talent and treasure. The Kirkman House Museum endowment was established in 2001 and is administered by the Blue Mountain Area Foundation to continue the preservation of this fine home and it's history. A donation to the endowment on behalf of the museum can be made for the general operation of the museum or can be for special projects. As an example a special project fund for the interior restoration of the home has been established. We would also like to establish funds for repair of the house's foundation and other exterior restoration. The income from the endowment is used to preserve the home as well as help with many community activities.

We are also actively seeking help from professional trades people and volunteers who would donate time and/or materials for one day or half day projects. These include painting, cleaning, window glazing, carpentry, masonry and plumbing. If you would like more information please contact us. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
